Slip-On Flange
Product Description
Slips over the pipe and is welded both inside and outside. Lower cost and easier alignment than Weld Neck, ideal for low-pressure and non-critical services.
Every flange is supplied with a mill test certificate (EN 10204 3.1), material traceability, and optional third-party inspection (BV / SGS / TUV). Available in Raised Face, Flat Face, and Ring Type Joint configurations per ASME B16.5.
Applications
Slip-on flanges are the workhorse of low-to-medium pressure piping systems where cost efficiency and rapid field installation matter more than fatigue resistance. They are extensively used in water treatment plants, HVAC chilled and hot water systems, fire protection piping, and general utility air lines operating at Class 150 to Class 300 pressure ratings (20 to 50 bar at ambient temperature).
Common industrial applications include cooling water networks, compressed air systems, lubrication oil piping, tank farm manifold connections, and shipyard utility lines. In these services, the slip-on design allows easy alignment with the pipe before fillet welding on both the bore and outer hub, cutting installation time by roughly 30% compared to weld neck flanges.
They are also specified in non-critical process skids, pump station bypass lines, and fire water distribution mains. Carbon steel A105 units handle media from -29°C to 425°C; stainless F304/F316 units extend service to corrosive chemical feed lines and food-grade process water.
Quality Assurance & Certification
All slip-on flanges are produced under our ISO 9001 quality system with EN 10204 3.1 material certificates documenting heat chemistry, tensile strength, and hardness. Each flange is fully traceable via heat number marking, and dimensional checks confirm bolt circle diameter, bore clearance, and face roughness per ASME B16.5 Section 6.
Optional NDT includes ultrasonic thickness verification, magnetic particle inspection for carbon steel surface defects, and dye penetrant testing on stainless material. Third-party inspection by SGS, BV, or TUV is available upon request, with witness points at dimensional check and final packing stages.
Export packaging includes VCI corrosion inhibitor wrapping for carbon steel flanges, plastic face protectors on raised faces, and sturdy plywood crates for ocean freight. Each bundle is tagged with flange size, class, material grade, heat number, and quantity to streamline receiving and inventory control.
